Event description

Description

Homelessness is growing in Victoria. Services are seeing more people than ever before - but we're also turning more people away due to a lack of resources and accommodation. 2018 is a State election year. Together we can make change.

CHP is hitting the road, running a series of joint training and consultation sessions across the state, and we want you to be involved.

The focus of the day will be twofold:

  • Hone the sector's skills to campaign for homelessness solutions, including tips on meeting your MP's, drafting media releases, and getting politicians to commit to the evidence-based responses

  • Develop a sector-wide State election platform, including a list of policies that we want our politicians to commit to this election season.

This event is the first step in ensuring that people experiencing homelessness are not forgotten this election season. It's the first step in ensuring that together, we can make our politicians hear and respond to what is needed to end homelessness in Victoria.

Who should attend?

We need to hear from you if you have ideas to share about how to strengthen our homelessness service system. Organisational spokespersons, workers, and consumers are all welcome.

This is one of your major opportunities to feed into the homelessness sector election platform. In short: if you have views, we want you to share them.
