Description

At the workshop staff from Education, Design and Technology (ED Tech) will cover information about: Assignment Criteria (Rubrics); settings on the Assignment tool; quiz question type to meet competency requirements; progress bar for tracking not grading; and other assessment related topics (as time permits).

Assignment Criteria (Rubrics) - Demonstrating important features of the rubric build eg. Points weighting and display; Identifying observable, concrete behaviours related to specific assessment task versus listing Unit Of Competency (UOC) performance criteria

Assignment tool - Settings on Assignment tool: scale, completion tracking, grade to pass, submission settings

Quizzes - Looking at matching level and type of question to qualification in order to meet competency requirements; correct process for over-riding or modifying quiz question grading

Progress Bar - Examining the progress bar as a visual representation for teachers and students to track progress. It is NOT a grading tool but works in conjunction with completion tracking, setting grade to pass and submission settings

Additional Information - Where to find templates for subject guide and online template (for conditions of assessment); Consistent naming conventions; Assessments and resources need to specify what UOC they relate to; Resources need to have instructions and teaching points; Currency, copyright and checking links should be considered in resource management.
