As the constraints on the Network become tighter and regulatory resets drive a continued focus on achieving value for money and benefits to consumers, the requirements for projects to meet the demands of time, cost and quality become even more important. Greg Walters will summarise key project management considerations for the planning and delivery of successful projects on our network, common pitfalls, best practice risk management/ safety approaches. Ralf Riccardi will talk about the criticality of outage management within ElectraNet and its impact on the delivery of successful projects.
Greg Walters has over 28 years’ experience in business and program leadership. He is an Electrical Engineer and Chartered Professional Engineer and is currently the Substation Delivery Manager at ElectraNet responsible for leading and managing project teams to ensure the successful delivery of large and complex substation projects/programs of work.
Prior to joining ElectraNet, he spent 14 years in consulting engineering where he held State Manager and International Country Manager roles responsible for project and program delivery across the business. He is currently a Director on the Board of Engineers Australia .
Ralf Ricciardi has been at ElectraNet in various roles for 18 years. In his current role as the Network Operations Manager he has responsibility for the operation and control of high voltage electricity network in South Australia and in previous roles was involved in the successful delivery of substation and transmission line projects across the state.
Ralf is a certified practising Project Director (CPPD) with the Australian Institute of Project Managers (AIPM) and holds a Masters Of Project Management from Adelaide University.
