Event description

Description

We are excited to announce a new full-day event for education leaders, Ed Summit 2018: Resolve to Lead that will be held at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) on Thursday, 9 August.

This event is for existing and emerging education leaders from across Australia and will be convened by:
• Professor Attila Brungs, Vice-Chancellor of UTS
• Verity Firth, Executive Director of Social Justice at UTS
• Lisa Paul AO PSM, Director High Resolves
• Anthony Mackay AM, CEO of the Centre for Strategic Education

Young people will inherit a world vastly different to the one we know and as educators, we are responsible for preparing students to thrive in this environment. We have all been a part of the intense discussion regarding the teaching of 21st-century skills, global competencies, and citizenship, but how do we commit to building these competencies in young people? And how do we transform the culture of our schools to reinforce this work? How will we shape the future of education in Australia?

UTS and High Resolves have partnered to create an inspiring day for education leaders to engage in learning, reflection and, ultimately, a personal commitment to action. Join international innovators, decision-makers, disruptors and thought leaders from the education sector and beyond to discuss the changing face of education and be equipped with a powerful new toolkit to help you drive change in your own school.
