Educators Anonymous - Networking and Support for Educators

Disclaimer:
This is not a support group for Educators with a Pinterest addiction.

Educators Anonymous is space for educators to learn from each other and to grow together in knowledge, skills and confidence.  Educators Anonymous is a space for educators to learn from each other and to grow, together in knowledge, skills and confidence.

It is a networking and support group for educators to be able to share their practices, their challenges and their successes in a supportive environment free from judgement. A space to find common ground and to connect with peers. A place for connection and reflection where Educators can share their stories, build professional relationships, seek and share information and support from peers and be a mentor or support to your peers.

The use of the term anonymous in this space relates to an individual's right to Anonymity, to be able to speak openly and honestly about their success, challenges and practices free from judgement in the knowledge that what is shared in this space is shared under a veil of privacy and confidentiality for the purpose of professional growth..

We hope you can join us.

EC Educator - Bribie Island Kindergarten

I have worked at Bribie Island Community Kindergarten 22 years and have been the full-time Teacher and Director of our beautiful service since completing the Bch Education Early Childhood in 2002.
One of my proudest moments in the course of my time working with children and families has been leading Bribie Community Kindy into a position where in Feb 2014 we earned the ‘Excellent’ rating awarded by ACECQA, in 2015 C and K's Service Leadership award and in 2016 was awarded C and K's Excellence and Innovation in Pedagogy and Practice award.

Some of the most fulfilling and enjoyable moments in more recent years has been the connections and relationships we as a community have built. We have work tirelessly to foster Community relationships and links and to Embed Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Perspectives into our teaching and learning in an authentic and meaningful way. A Weekly Bush Kindy, Monthly Bush and Beach family walks and our weekly visits to our local Aged Care Facility are just some of the ways we engage with our community ultimately providing positive outcomes for the children, families and community in which we play, teach and live!

Monique Bullock

I have worked for Goodstart Early Learning for over 10 years and in this time watched my centre soar to new heights with an Exceeding rating and implementing Bush and Beach Kindy with also a strong partnership with other Local community Agencies. I believe my role is to advocate for the children I work with within the community and know that if we take the time to stop and truly listen to the voice of the child they can teach us some wonderful things as their perspective is so honest and unique.
The only person you need to be better is the person you were yesterday is a quote I live by and have since moved to a new centre with new challenges that I have been able to utilise the skills learnt along my journey. I hold a Bachelor in Human Services with a Major in Child and Family and have a passion for working with vulnerable families and children to support them individually.

ECW - Australian Education and Care Workforce Professional Body

The Australian Education and Care Workforce Professional Body (ECW), is the peak body for the Education and Care Workforce and brings together education and care practitioners from all sectors under one professional body.  Working for the professional recognition of the field, ECW was established to connect, inform and elevate the education and care workforce.

Through developing our capacity to link theory and practice, we deepen our understanding of the value and significance of our work. In turn, this sustains our commitment, our enthusiasm and capacity to keep growing professionally and personally.
