Thank you for registering for The Makers Studio Central Coast Inc to a Members Only - Introduction to Eco Dyeing on paper workshop with Carol Vesper. Please find below all the information you need regarding workshop attendance.

Date: 13 March 2021

Time: 10:00 to 16:00hrs

Venue: Building 3 Lions Community Hall, 8 Russell Drysdale St

East Gosford (entrance at the rear of the building)

This workshop is an introduction to working with Eco Dyeing on paper. Notes will be provided on various mordants and how to make them. I will pre soak each students paper ready for dyeing. I will also have two pots of plant dye ready made so we can make the most of the time we have.

Each participant will be supplied:

• 2 full sheets of paper

• Strips of fabric

• string

What you should bring:

• Small amount of Plant material (eucalyptus leaves etc) perhaps google and research some plants/flowers that work well from our area.

• 6” piece of copper or steel pipe (some pieces will be available for use)

• Art journal for note taking

• Apron, gloves, mask, Lunch

You will need to wear closed in shoes while working in the studio for work health safety reasons. Suggest you wear old clothes as it can be a messy. It’s an amazing process and there will be many OMG moments when you unwrap your bundle from the dye pot. Looking forward to working with you.

COVID restrictions may dictate whether a mask is required you will be advised closer to the date. The Makers also has a QR Code that must used to register you on arrival.
