Description

This full day of local health & community service orientation is for all new, recently employed, and otherwise interested staff of Health and Community services in the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne including (but not exclusively) Mental Health, Aboriginal Services, Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Services, Homelessness/Housing Services, Family Services, Family Violence Services, Primary Health Services, Human Services, and local council. Older persons’ and Youth services staff are invited to participate and there will be dedicated afternoon presentations relevant to these age groups.

The Morning program: will provide overviews of the following sectors: Clinical Mental Health and Mental Health Community Support, Alcohol & other Drug services and Primary Care, Family Services and Housing and Homelessness. Carer and Consumer perspectives on access to services.

At Lunch Time: Experience a market place of service stalls.

The Afternoon Program: will allow participants to experience a variety of service related topical presentations across the town hall.

Rooms will be dedicated to Older Persons’, Youth and Adult focussed service presentations.
