Early Childhood Services EMP Information Session - Ballarat
Event Information
Description
For Early Childhood Services
Every early childhood service in Victoria is required to have an Emergency Management Plan (EMP).
Hoax threats and severe weather events over recent months highlight the need for services to be prepared for any type of emergency situation and have a robust EMP in place to help staff respond to such emergencies.
In order to assist Directors/Co-ordinators and staff prepare for a range of hazards and threats the Emergency Management Division will be delivering three-hour workshops for all Victorian early childhood services.
This year’s sessions will focus on identifying and mitigating site-specific risks and the challenges of responding to an emergency situation. Emergency scenario exercises will also be a feature of these sessions.
The sessions will begin in August and be delivered in rural and metropolitan locations across the State.
Participants are welcome to attend a session in any location.
