Event description

Description

The E-Safety Women Workshop is a free workshop which looks at technology-facilitated abuse and its relationship to domestic and family violence. Presented by The Office of the Children's eSafety Commissioner, the workshop equips frontline and specialist staff, support workers, PVAW workers and those volunteering in the domestic violence field with up-to-date practical skills and knowledge to support women and families experiencing, or at risk of, technology facilitated abuse.

The session will be opened by Speaking Out advocate Rebecca. You will also hear from Kristine Olaris, CEO of Women’s Health East, on the soon to be released discussion paper ‘Violence Against Women Online: The intersection of technology, gender and sexism’.

The workshop will conclude at 3:15, followed by afternoon tea.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Women's Health East on 9851 3700.

Thank you to our event supporters Maroondah City Council, The Office of the Children's eSafety Commissioner and WESNET.
