Description

e-Exam Roadshow workshop sessions offer local access to early project findings from over 20 'authentic assessment' e-exam trials in the run up to our e-Exams Symposium on 24 Nov 2018. We welcome teaching and learning leaders, educators, researchers and education and technology support personnel to attend.

Note: the main face to face sessions will occur at UTAS Hobart Sandy Bay campus. Video conference for session 1 only available at Newnham campus (Launceston) and Cradle Coast campus (Burnie).

9.30am - 10.30am Session 1: Briefing - Rationale for e-Exams

[Location: Face to face at Sandy Bay campus or via video conference from Newham and Cradle Coast]

For leaders/decision makers (all are welcome) - high level overview - main points.
An argument for authentic e-Exams for employability.
A business case for authentic e-Exams.
Key findings on student feedback.
Latest developments on 'robust' Moodle use.

10.30am - 11am break. (catered food/drink)

11am - 12noon Session 2: Workshop - Exploring the details of e-Exams

[Location: Face to face only at Sandy Bay campus - no video conference]

Workshop the findings on student feedback, logistics, examples of assessments.
Workshop the a selection of proposed project resources (e.g. sample case studies to influence decision makers).
Time for 'hands-on' with robust Moodle e-Exam.
End.

11.30am onwards [relocate to meeting room]
The project leader is available for private discussions, meetings or demonstrations by arrangement.
