Description

e-Commerce Readiness Workshop - Accessing China's Markets

FIAL & Brisbane Marketing are collaborating to bring together the 'Future Food Brisbane' initiative - with upcoming programs and events to accelerate your food business to the next level.

FIAL & Brisbane Marketing welcome you to attend the E-Commerce Readiness - Accessing China's Markets Workshop. Designed specifically for the food & beverage industry, incorporating feedback and insights from eCommerce platform buyers and suppliers. This workshop aims to prepare Australian food and agribusinesses to capitilise on the rapidly growing Chinese eCommerce demand for Australian products.

Understanding how to tap into the world’s largest e-commerce market and access China’s rapidly emerging middle class consumer base, will create significant opportunities for Australian businesses to be able to supply this demand.

Tremendous opportunities to sell online exist for Australian food and agribusiness companies. China’s demand for Australian food will continue as many goods once delivered locally are now regularly purchased online. As China trade barriers fall and technology improves competition will intensify. Chinese government target is to connect 1.2 billion people to the internet by 2020, which is 85% of the population.

Created specifically for the food and agribusiness industry, this workshop will provide you with a comprehensive understanding on:

  • insights on China’s e-Commerce Market & Insights, cultural intelligence, high demand food sectors, marketing strategies, protecting your brand & IP.

  • Information on how to manage your payments, Logistics solutions and warehousing, price points, latest policy changes in regulation & duties.

  • Links where you can access support and services for Australian exporters.

We have brought together an expert panel to advise on the day, including:

  • Robert Burns, Director, DDBill

  • Sara Cheng, Vice President NSW: Australian Chinese Business Council

  • Shiming Li, General Manager, ALOG Australia

  • Rod Arenas, General Manager Commercial, Food Innovation Australia

  • Others to be confirmed
