Duty of Care - Ensuring Volunteer Safety & Wellbeing
Overview
Volunteer safety is paramount. This free webinar will focus on fulfilling your organisation's duty of care and adhering to the National Standards - particularly Standard 6: Volunteer Safety and Wellbeing.
You will explore risk-management strategies, incident-reporting protocols, and ways to create a psychologically safe environment for all volunteers. You’ll also learn how to identify potential hazards, implement preventative measures, and respond effectively to critical incidents.
The session will also cover legal obligations, insurance considerations, and how to foster a culture where volunteers feel empowered to raise concerns without fear.
By prioritising volunteer safety, organisations empower volunteers to contribute confidently and effectively toward achieving the IVY 2026 Sustainable Development Goals, knowing their wellbeing is a top priority.
