Event description
Join us at this free forum to hear best practice advice about caring for your land and livestock during drought and in recovery from drought

About this Event

Planning for drought or drought recovery will require you to make some tough and difficult decisions around feeding your livestock and how to best manage your pastures.

This free forum will provide best practice advice about feeding your livestock in a drought and making decisions about their future. You will also better understand what to do when recovering from drought and how to access available support.

The topics we will be covering include:

  • Duty of care for livestock owners
  • Feeding cattle—nutritional requirements
  • Euthanising livestock
  • Feeding horses, sheep and goats
  • Land management and pasture recovery
  • Support services and assistance programs.

This event has been postponed due to COVID-19. If you would like to attend this event at a later date, please email your interest to Ted Parish by emailing ted.parish@daf.qld.gov.au or calling 0436 951 288.
