Main Roads has adopted the use of the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia’s, Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) rating tool for its major projects as a mechanism to drive sustainability performance. $2.5 Billion of Main Roads’ infrastructure investments since 2012 have had IS obligations in some way. The IS Tool is being utilised across Australia, New Zealand and Asia as a system for evaluating sustainability across design, construction and operation of infrastructure.
Louis Bettini, Principal Advisor Sustainability of Main Roads Western Australia will share how the use of tools such as IS are helping to progress the evolution of sustainability practice within infrastructure projects, shape corporate strategy and assist in telling the story which is so important for an organisations social license to operate.
We would like to be as interactive as possible so we intend to extend the discussion to a broader range of tools that organisations may use or are intending to use.
Thanks to our host, South32 for making this event possible.
