About this event
This session provides information about the impact of dementia on driving. It offers tips for caregivers to recognise when dementia is impacting on someone's ability to drive safely, and strategies for talking about changes with the person with dementia.
You will gain knowledge in:
- the effects of dementia on driving
- managing the impact of ceasing driving
- relevant services and support.
Suitable for: Family members and carers of someone living with dementia. This session is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors.
Dementia Australia's facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. This session is delivered interactively, you will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other participants giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks.
