Dr William Willimon Preaching Conference
Mon., 17/07/2017, 9:00 am – Tue., 18/07/2017, 4:30 pm ACST
Every pastor will tell you preaching is one of their most important tasks. But how and what do we preach in these changing times when the relevance of Christianity is being questioned, the message of the Bible is under negotiation, and the saints are distracted?
This is your opportunity to learn from one of the most gifted preachers of the 21st century, Dr William Willimon. Dr Willimon is Professor of the Practice of Christian Ministry at Duke Divinity School with over 45 years of ministry experience, has published 60 books, and has been called one of America’s best-ever preachers. As part of this 2 day conference he will be addressing key issues such as:
Feeling like Missionaries in the Culture we thought was Christian
What are the challenges for preachers & practising theologians in the post-Christian, post-modern world
How has contemporary preaching forsaken theology for anthropology
This 2 day Preaching Conference is part of a 5 day Intensive [July 17-21] entitled 'A Theology for Preaching to the Post-Christian Age' as a for-credit subject in the Master of Ministry/Doctor of Ministry program at Tabor.
If you are registering for the Preaching Conference have you considered completing a Graduate Diploma in Ministry?
