Event description

Description

Conceptual frameworks help us make sense of the world. They guide our judgement and inform our decision-making. But not all frameworks are equally valid or useful. How did we think about public policy in the past? What did we learn? How should we think about future challenges? How can thinking about this help inform a future of AI assisted decision-making?

The 3A Institute is excited to bring Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM FASSA, the Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, to the ANU to discuss these issues.

Dr Martin Parkinson is the Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Martin brings his experience and perspective gained throughout a long career in public policy and governance roles.

Note: The Marie Reay teaching room is an intimate and hard to find venue within the new ANU Kambri Precinct. Please register early to avoid disappointment, and allow plenty of time to find the venue on the day to avoid arriving late.

This talk is part of the #3AiFirstCohort divergence series.
