Description

Deakin University is pleased to host Dr Justine Joan Sheppard, a Fellow of ASHA and a Board Certified Specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders. She is an Honorary Adjunct Associate Professor in the Communication and Communication Disorders program, Department of Biobehavioral Sciences at Teachers College, Columbia University, and has presented many training workshops in the USA, Canada, Australia New Zealand Singapore and Europe.

Over 3 days, Joan will hold the certification workshop in dysphagia screening and assessment tools (DDS, DMSS, CRA and PRA), in addition to two other specialist workshops, Understanding and Improving Swallowing and Feeding Function in Children and Adults with I/DD: Transition feeding to safe, mature skills and Understanding and Treating Swallowing and Feeding Disorder in Children with Cerebral Palsy.
