The Gallery is delighted to host Dr Fiona Foley in partnership with the Byron Writers Festival.
Dr Fiona Foley is a visual artist and academic. Her publication, Biting the Clouds: The Aboriginals Protection and Restriction of the Sale of Opium Act, 1897, is a ground-breaking work of Indigenous scholarship. Fiona discusses her art and writing, both of which examine, subvert and dismantle historical stereotypes.
