Our kids fishing workshop includes sessions on how to rig up a rod, knot tying, fishing safety, correct casting techniques and a practical fishing session. It will also include some great tips on fishing responsibly, correct catch and release techniques and offer a chance to hear from experts about all things fishing to get started in your local area. All equipment is supplied on the day and each participant will take home a rod/reel and goodie bag.

Bookings are essential as places are limited.

Each child participating must have a responsible adult in attendance to assist with practical fishing (minimum 1 parent per family group). DPIRD Fishing workshops are run with the assistance of Fishcare Volunteers supported with funds from the Recreational Fishing Trusts.
