Event information

Join us for our next Speakers series virtual panel event facilitated by Queensland Chief Entrepreneur Leanne Kemp in conversation with Queensland manufacturers innovating and shifting their focus in response to COVID-19.

You’ll hear from three small businesses about how they’ve transformed their business models to produce essential items that are supporting health services and the wider community as part of the #MakingItForQLD initiative.

Our panellists:

  • Roland Dane from Triple Eight Race Engineering – a motorsport engineering company making a shift from the fast lane of V8 racing to working with health professionals to design low cost ventilators using 3D printing.

  • Luke Swenson of The Bearded Chap - a beard grooming supplier and distillery now producing hand sanitiser to supply thousands of bottles to Queensland hospitals.

  • Ty Hermans from Evolve Group - a plastics manufacturer based in Crestmead, Brisbane who are making high quality surgical masks for frontline healthcare workers.

Join this livestream and be inspired to think outside the square as we all work to deliver for the Queensland community in a time of rapid change, and into the future.
