Jeremiah Johnson

Humming of the Axis Tour. 2016/17

As featured in Rhythms Magazines sept/oct issue Jeremiah Johnson is currently touring the East Coast of Australia, solo, from Cairns to Adelaide over summer promoting his third studio album “Humming of the Axis” in a crowd funded Tour Bus. The album is described as being an adroitly blend of ambient dobro slide guitar and vocal versatility. Also playing other acoustic and electric instruments the album covers a lot of ground with his die hard approach to story telling.

This Tour is not his first, it is however the maiden voyage in the crowd funded tour bus, which he has fitted out himself with help from his wife, an interior designer. His recent appearance on TedX JCU was testimonial to his resilience to achieving personal goals and success from a life time of playing music.

He has supported Harry Manx, Donavon Frankenreiter, Gomez, Angus and Julia Stone, Neil Murray and Jeff Martin to name a few. Described by an adoring fan base as a writer of beautiful music, he draws on traditional acoustic genres, be it roots or folk and forges it into Australian Contemporary Folk.

Drawing inspiration from other contemporary's, Bruce Cockburn, Jeff Lang, Sixto Rodriguez, Harry Manx, and Paul Dempsey. His shows are stunning, captivating and refreshing.

Shanteya and Jo

Shanteya and Jo are an independent folk duo whose soulful voices and transporting guitar lines interweave their stories though an organic blend of harmony and percussive breakdowns. Typically their song writing explores their love for nature, travel and the core emotions aroused by their personal experiences and relationships.

Following the release of their debut EP ‘Land and Sea’ in 2015, this Bellingen based duo regularly took to the road uplifting the hearts of audiences at a plethora of venues up and down the East Coast, including support gigs for well-known artists such as Australia’s 80s rock band 1927 and singer songwriter and activist Dustin Thomas. Some more highlights included their packed house shows at Bello Winter Music Festival and Spirit of the Land Festival.
They released their powerful and haunting single, ‘Taken’, in early 2016 before journeying to the cobbled streets of Europe to spread their songs and stories on a busking and gigging tour.
