Event description

Description

This is a Transport & Main Roads Staff Training Event only.

Domestic & Family Violence is a serious, prevalent and preventable issue in Australia. The statistics on domestic and family violence are alarming:

  • on average, one woman a week and one man a month dies at the hands of a current or former partner

  • one in four women and one in six men experience emotional abuse by a current or former partner

  • 94% of employees surveyed by White Ribbon Australia agree that employers should take a leadership role in educating their workplace about respectful relationships between men and women.

Violence against women and men is unacceptable. Whether it occurs in or beyond the workplace – it impacts on the health and safety of employees, their wellbeing and their productivity. It impacts negatively on workplace culture, organisational reputation and bottom-line profit and loss.

This training is face to face and cannot be skyped into due to the sensitive nature of the training material.

This training is free and is limited to 25 people per session.

Register as soon as you can to secure your place in this valuable training. We will be running additional face-to-face training sessions in Brisbane and throughout Queensland. Keep an eye out in daily messages for future dates.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for a 1.00pm start.
