Event description

Description

Revisit the marvels of the inaugural World’s Fair. Ten million visitors attended – including the Library’s founder, Sir Redmond Barry – and were dazzled by wondrous new technologies like Alexander Graham Bell’s telephone, the first Remington typewriter and the Wallace-Farmer Electric Dynamo, a precursor to the electric light.
