Description

Doing Due Diligence on your Chinese Partner

Guest Speaker: Bruce McLaughlin, Owner, Sinogie Consulting

We’re often told that it’s important to do due diligence on your potential Chinese partner, supplier, investor or customer but how do you actually do it? Where do you go to find relevant and reliable information? How do you interpret this information? Who do you talk to? Bruce McLaughlin is an expert on doing due diligence in China.

A former lawyer himself and Mandarin speaker, he has seen and witnessed the challenges of searching public, private and anecdotal information and working out what’s real, questionable and even totally made up! Don’t miss this opportunity to hear his entertaining stories and real life case studies!

Note: The format of the workshop is interactive and participative. Members are encouraged to bring business cards and network amongst themselves.

This event is one of our regular monthly meeting of ACSME members in Sydney, chaired by ACSME President, David Thomas (see www.davidthomas.asia). Each session includes a theme, with an invited expert in attendance to lead the discussion, address specific issues and answer questions.

Organised by

The Australia China SME Association (ACSME) is a platform for SME owners, leaders and senior managers in both Australia and China to meet, network and develop opportunities to do business together.

The bilateral relationship between China and Australia creates many opportunities for both countries, especially for SMEs who have the necessary cross-cultural, bilingual and cross-border capabilities, and ACSME aims to act as a bridge to create meaningful relationships, friendships and business opportunities for both sides.
