Following on from the extremely well attended & received Doctor Wellbeing Forum held on the Central Coast late last year, HNECC Primary Health Network in conjuction with Central Coast LHD and HNE LHD would like to invite all Doctors (GPs, hospital doctors and specialists) to participate in the Hunter & Central Coast Doctor Wellbeing Forum. (Includes dinner & a bag of resources).

Join your colleagues to acknowledge and discuss the serious issues affecting Doctor Wellbeing & Mental Health:
- The impact of psychological distress and mental ill-health
- Identifying and supporting colleagues experiencing distress
- Improving your understanding of the factors contributing to suicide among doctors
- The barriers for doctors seeking help for mental illness
- Identifying and assessing your self-care strategies
Speakers include:
Dr Helen Schulz is a consultant psychiatrist, author and public speaker. She has a psychiatry practice, MindAdvocasy in Richmond Melbourne, and is an accredited psychiatrist at The Melbourne Clinic, Victoria. She has a particular expertise working with doctors and health professionals as patients, and uses her experience to inform and influence current debate, including mental ill health of doctors, lobbying for change to improve outcomes in this area.
Dr Carmel Sullivan works part time as a GP on the Central Coast and as a senior lecturer at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney. She has a special interest in doctors’ and medical students’ wellbeing and is an advocate for the self-care and compassion within the medical profession
