Many training packages since November 2012 have been reviewed to meet the requirements of “Standards for Training Packages”. The new standards have introduced a number of significant changes to layout and format of many units which encompass a raft of compliance issues that government and private training providers are required to address.
Having an in-depth understanding of these regulatory requirements and where to find this information will be critical to the success of training organisations delivering across all industry sectors. Through this workshop we aim at supporting Training Providers in complying with such changes.

Gary Dunshea is a highly qualified and respected practitioner in the area of training and assessment. For many years he has overseen the development and continuous improvement of training packages. He is well known for his networking with industry associations, unions, government bodies and training providers to ensure new and emerging skills have a suitable framework in which to develop strong pathways. He provides advice to industry on matters relating to vocational education, assists RTOs in maintaining compliance, as well as advising ASQA on matters of non-compliance. Along with numerous certificates, Gary holds a Bachelor of Adult Education.
Janelle Henson has worked in the employment, education, training and careers sectors for over 25 years as an Employment Officer and in Management roles (recruitment, labour market programs & industry programs) with Government, as a Regional Industry Career Advisor with Ai Group and as a Partnership Broker, Career
Consultant and Industry Compliance Consultant for not for profit and Registered Training Organisations. Janelle has developed and utilised resources for RTOs including an Industry Evidence App. through her extensive experience working with business and industry, education and training providers and government departments.
