DJing workshop with Maggie Tra
Overview
Join Vietnamese/Cambodian DJ and Producer Maggie Tra for this special electronic DJing workshop. You will also learn about Maggie’s creative and playful approach to boundary-bending music-making through the Inner West Libraries’ Chinese instruments collection – and be inspired to shape your own electronic sounds and stories.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and all materials are provided.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
MAGGIE TRA is an electronic Producer, DJ, label head and musical polymath. The Australian-born Vietnamese/Cambodian artist brings finesse and flair to the dance-floor by embracing the culture of the land she's in with wholeness and conviction. A weaver of musical fibres, Maggie entwines melodies, genres and tempos to create her own tapestries coupled with Asian influences. Her albums ‘Kingdom of Her’ (2022), ‘Very Vui’ (2023) and ‘Dancing Untethered’ (2024) have been supported on Triple J, Bandcamp, NTS, Mixmag Asia, Bandcamp & Worldwide FM, and she recently showcased at SXSW Sydney as an official artist. Maggie also runs Pho The Girls DJing workshops, a community of female and non-binary DJs based in London, Vietnam, Thailand and Australia.
ABOUT THE VENUE: ASHFIELD LIBRARY is accessible via the Ashfield Civic Centre.
