About this event

Do's and Don'ts of Electrical repair

Flicking the switch but nothing is happening? The Bower experts will lead you through what you can ( and what you shouldn’t ) do to get your electrical items running again, including advice on when its time to get a professional.

This workshop is the final event of a four-part series running once a fortnight to cover a range of DIY home repairs.

How will it work?

Register your ticket here with Eventbrite to receive access to the webinar. Webinar access links will be sent to the emails registered on the Monday before each webinar.

Some events will also be streamed live on Councils CBTV, however these will not allow for direct questions to be asked of the presenters.

Other work shops in the series include:

Bike Repair 9 June 6.30pm

Clothing Repair 23 June 6.30pm

Furniture repair 7 July 6.30pm

About the Presenter

The Bower is an environmental charity committed to reducing waste going to landfill. The shopfronts sell furniture, appliances, household goods, salvaged building materials, bikes, books and more. It’s a treasure trove of delights with donations arriving daily – you never know what you’ll find – all at incredibly low prices. The Bower also runs ‘Tricks of the Trade’ workshops teaching basic carpentry, furniture restoration and upholstery and regularly holds Upcycled Art workshops for children.

The Bower holds a Repair Café at Marrickville where you can get technical assistance fixing dodgy electrical appliances, wobbly bikes and rickety furniture. The Repair Café also operates at The Bower Parramatta, and the Toolshed in Redfern.
