Hollistic care is essential when providing any aspect of care but all too often Sprituality is overlooked and/or underestimated.
What does Spirituality mean?
It can be the intricate relationship between one self and their
- association with a church, temple, mosque, or synagogue
- belief and connection with God or a higher power.
- connections to nature or art
Each person's definition of Spirituality will differ. This session will explore and address the different meanings, individual experiences, the relationship between who we are, what we expect and how we express our wants. What role does Sprituality play within ourselves, ageing and within varying care situations. Look at ways we can assist older people express their spirituality and how to nuture them. How can we enhance Quality of Life?
