We're excited to welcome visitors back to the Wildlife Centre to discover the wonder of Queensland's wildlife. Bookings are essential.

Get up close with animals—some scaly, some slippery, some furry! —from the Wildlife Centre and learn how our Park Rangers care for Queensland’s national parks and native wildlife. The Wildlife Discovery Show is a Ranger-led presentation every Saturday and Sunday at 11.00am and 1.30pm. Your ticket purchase also includes same-day admission into our Wildlife Centre.

Discover the intriguing and wonderful inhabitants of Queensland’s national parks in the Walkabout Creek Wildlife Centre. Located on Brisbane’s doorstep, in picturesque bushland surrounds, it’s the perfect place to learn about our native Wildlife, and the important role we all play in their conservation. Explore with family and friends and join our expert Park Rangers at the daily feeding sessions.

Please note: Due to renovations, the external wildlife exhibits in the Wildlife Centre are currently closed. Please be aware there is presently no platypus on display – we hope to acquire another in future. Wildlife currently on display include crocodiles, lungfish, various reptiles and one of Queensland’s least known species – a tiny carnivorous marsupial from outback Queensland with a huge appetite - the fat-tailed dunnart.

During your visit

You'll notice some changes. The safety of our visitors, staff and wildlife is our top priority and we have put additional measures in place. As per the Queensland Government directive, face masks must be worn while in the Information Centre, Wildlife Centre and the Wildlife Discovery Show. Social distancing and enhanced cleaning is in place and contactless payments are encouraged. Remember, if you’re feeling unwell or displaying flu like symptoms, please rest up at home and visit when you’re completely well. You can transfer your ticket to date that suits you.

Booking Conditions

Your ticket is valid for the date/time selected.
No cancellations or refunds are available, however transfers to another date can be self-managed in your Eventbrite account.
There is no need to print your tickets, as your details will be on our guest list.
Purchasing a Concession ticket? You will be required to show a valid identification card at entry.
All children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
