Due to COVID restrictions, and as a treat for Canberrans looking to be a tourist in our own beautiful backyard, we are offering FREE TOURS IN 2020.

Get out and about the capital region and enjoy what our beautiful city has to offer, with our COVIDsafe tour. Visit the childhood home of Canberra's beloved Dawn Waterhouse and hear some local history.

Tours run every weekend, (on both Saturday and Sunday) at 1pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm and 3.15pm.

Step into the story at Calthorpes' House and discover the fascinating stories of the Waterhouse family that lived here.

This tour allows you to get the best possible experience at Calthorpes' House, in the COVID-19 era. Our socially-distanced tour takes the group on a guided and informative walk around the garden.

You can also take a virtual tour of the main house using our digital interpretation content on an iPad, either before or after your garden tour.

Due to social distancing requirements, we are unable to open the main house for guided tours at the moment.
