NDS Tasmania invites you to participate in the
Disability Industry Training Roundtable Discussion.
The second Roundtable is an opportunity for service providers to participate in building tangible outcomes, based on priorities identified at the first forum, held in September. The forum will provide an opportunity to address the skills needs for the sector and to engage in activity to meet these needs over coming years.
Date: Tuesday, 15th November
Time: 1.30 pm to 4:30 pm (including a networking afternoon tea).
Venue: 2/99 Bathurst Street, Amenities Room (DHHS).
RSVP: Registration is compulsory by 12pm Friday 11th November for catering purposes.
DIRT Draft Agenda / discussion will focus on;
- Update on NDS workforce planning and development activities since the last Round Table meeting.
- ‘What does work readiness look like?’
- Skills Tasmania’s new Work Readiness for Growth Industries Program – funding opportunity.
- Discussion with DES and JobActive providers.
- Discussion on 'How to get the most out of training’.
- Networking opportunity and sharing of issues.
This opportunity is open to individuals within your organisation who have responsibility for recruitment, management of trainees and accredited training.
First time attendees to the Roundtable are most welcome.
The Roundtable is an activity of the Tasmanian Disability Industry Workforce Development and Skills Plan 2013-2018.
