Introducing Advocacy for Inclusion’s new interactive webinar series for justice practitioners
Seminar 1: Disability Effective Communication.
Disability Effective Communication is the first in a series supporting better interaction between justice practitioners and people with disabilities. This series of webinars will focus on:
- Effective communication
- Working alongside a disability advocate
- Conducting two way conversations to receive better instruction
- Caring for yourself when confronted with difficult or emotional information during legal trials.
Advocacy for Inclusion webinars provide practical and leading practice policy driven solutions.
Effective communication means more equal participation by people with disabilities in their legal process. It also ensures vital information is shared, and instruction is clearer.
This unique suite of interactive webinars has been developed to assist justice practitioners in everyday work with people with disabilities. Advocacy for Inclusion will facilitate the webinars, and participants are able to contribute at any time to the live conversation throughout the webinar’s active period. Share examples, ask questions, talk with your peers. Once registered, you will recieve a link to the webinar.
Why is this webinar different?
Majority of webinars only remain open for a very limited time, ie. 1 hour, meaning if you are unable to attend the initial webinar you miss the live component and any chance to interact with presenters.
The unique Advocacy for Inclusion Webinars are open for 7 days giving participants the ability to ask questions anytime of the day or night and have a response from the presenters to any questions asked.
You can complete the webinar in your own time at your own pace. Participants also have the ability to respond to questions and start discussions in a variety of way including - microphone, webcam, text, phone, and audio-file upload.
This is a cloud application, so there is no software to install. The only system requirement is an up-to-date version of Adobe Flash.
