Description

Disability 101: Becoming More Welcoming, Confident and Accessible.

Did you know that one in five Australians has a disability? We all have some experience of disability - whether it’s our self, a family member, friend, colleague, associate or a customer...

This interactive session is designed to increase your awareness of the prevalence and diversity of disability and why becoming more welcoming, confident and accessible makes great business sense. You will receive an overview of disability, with strategies to improve your communications and accessibility. Designed as an introduction to more specialised sessions, it will be helpful for business owners, leaders, managers or staff.

Who should attend: All employees at all levels will benefit from this training. Particularly those dealing with the public.

This session will be delivered by the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations.
