Event description

Description

The Brisbane branch of Young Australians in International Affairs is excited to announce our upcoming Diplomatic Skills Negotiation Seminar with Dr Larry Crump. Larry is an expert in the field of negotiation strategy and the seminar will contain the same material used in seminars he has led for the DFAT Trade Policy Course over the last six years. Larry has also conducted negotiation training for the DFAT Graduate Program.

This hands-on seminar begins with a brief lecture on international negotiation strategy followed by a three-way negotiation exercise that offers insight into negotiation strategy and power. Don't miss this excellent opportunity to engage in a practical simulation and get a real sense of what it is like to work as a foreign diplomat.

The event will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm on Thursday 21 September 2017 at 66 Ernest Street, South Brisbane (in the TAFE Queensland building).

Please register and attend the seminar with a calculator (for simple maths), a watch and a sense of humour.

Tickets to this event are $15 (+ booking fee) and will include refreshments. There will be free parking at the TAFE carpark with access from either Merivale St or Glenelg St.

Tickets are strictly limited so please register early to secure your spot. Preparatory materials will be provided to registered attendees in the week prior to the event.
