Matthew Walker - City of Gold Coast Cyber Security and IT Operations: Matthew started his career as a graduate of network engineering technology from NAIT, a polytechnic institute in Alberta, Canada. A series of roles across networking, cyber security, compliance, risk management, and auditing has led to Matthew’s current role of leading the City of Gold Coast’s cyber security and IT operations teams. A recent highlight of Matthew’s time at City of Gold Coast was the cyber security preparation for the 2018 Commonwealth Games which established a permanently expanded cyber security function that continues to pursue the goal of maintaining a ‘Cyber Safe City’.”

Paul McCarty - Founder and CTO SecureStack: Paul started his IT career in the early nineties and specializes in helping teams build and deliver secure applications. He’s done it for NASA, John Deere, the US Army, Queensland government and a whole lot of other organizations. Eventually, he founded SecureStack and built a platform that lets companies identify security and availability gaps in their web applications and then FIX those issues easily without forcing their developers to become security experts. He’s also a pretty good snowboarder and a proud father of 3 amazing kids.
