Overview

Come and enjoy a morning of fun with a story on the big screen, and then fun hands-on activities.

A unique storytime experience in the multi-arts pavilion (MAP) using projection and digital stories, followed by art-making and shadow play. There is a different theme each month.

Suitable for children aged 2-5 years.

Grab a coffee from Harry & Lola’s Cafe, and stay and chat with other parents or go and explore Speers Point Park.

Held the third Thursday of the month February – November, 10 - 10.45 am. December will be held on Thursday 11 December, 10am.

Bookings are essential.

All attending adults and children require a ticket. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

About the venue: MAP mima is located in Speers Point Park, off Park Street, on the edge of Lake Macquarie. MAP mima is accessible by ramp with accessible toilets. MAP can be reached easily from the lake foreshore cycleway, the water, or by public transport. There is plenty of parking for cars, and buses with accessible spaces available, onsite and in the surrounding parklands.
