This session explores how technology has changed the traditional supervisory/therapeutic landscape, and what clients are starting to expect.
About this event
This workshop has a dual focus, both of which speak to contemporary practice. First, we will examine how technology has changed the traditional supervisory/therapeutic landscape, and what clients are starting to expect from human services (especially younger people). Secondly, we will examine important principles of power relations and how embracing technology can be seen as a critically important step towards levelling an imbalance of influence and control found in many areas of traditional supervisory practice.
Professionals who will benefit most include:
Therapeutic and other caring/human service professionals who routinely engage with clients in virtual settings.
