Event description

Description

Ever wondered about open data and what it can do for you? Come along to the third in the series of our introductory lunchtime talks we are holding in partnership with State Library of Queensland. This topic will delve into finding and gathering data and organising it in a way that allows you to unlock its value for yourself or your business.

Open data is data that anyone can access, use and share. Governments, businesses and individuals can use open data to bring about social, economic and environmental benefits.

We’ll explore:

  • easy steps to follow to tell a story with data
  • gathering data, where to find it and access it
  • basics on organising your data
  • basics on cleaning data.

Working towards a vision of knowledge for everyone, the Open Data Institute (ODI) is catalysing the evolution of open data culture to create economic, environmental, and social value. This event is being hosted in partnership with State Library of Queensland.
