Event description

Description

Designing adventure games is fun and something that anyone can get up to with some advice, and idea and some basic skillsets that this workshop will provide. All you need to bring with you is an idea, we’ll provide everything else.

Taught by a university lecturer and designer in the local industry, this workshop will step you through the basics of game design theory, and provide you with a solid launch-pad for further development. Whether your aim is to create a fun adventure for the experienced gamer, the casual player, for mobile or for PC, commercial, free or for fun, this workshop will guide you in the development and refinement of your idea.

For newcomers to interactive storytelling, this workshop will also provide guidance on turning your story idea into a digital ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ game using Twine. For amateur developers, feel free to bring your own game engine for a head-start on more advanced game development.
