Event description
Diane Vernet Keynote Address

About this Event

Diane Venet has spent 40 years collecting some of the most-coveted pieces of artist jewellery from the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries. In 2011, Venet launched Picasso to Koons: Artist as Jeweller, marking the beginning of an 8-year international tour, including New York’s Museum of Arts and Design and Paris’ Musée des arts décoratifs, among others.

With works by artists including Alexander Calder, Jeff Koons, Max Ernst, Pablo Picasso and Niki de Saint Phalle, César, Takis and Louise Bourgeois among many others, Venet’s collection tells the story of modern and contemporary artists who have taken a close interest in jewellery.

Venet’s collection of artist jewellery by more than 150 international artists shares her unique passion for these individuals and their miniature artworks in the context of the artists’ oeuvres.

Venet joins SCCI Fashion Hub 2020 as a distinguished international guest, presenting a keynote which explores the fascinating relationship between art and jewellery.

Please note: This event begins with an afternoon tea reception from 3.00pm, with the keynote commencing at 3.30pm.
