Brook RED is delighted to be hosting the 2nd annual dialog conference which will be held in Brisbane on November 16th and 17th, 2016.
This year's dialog conference theme is 'perspectives on peer work' and we are thrilled to be bringing together 150 peer and lived-experience workers to share and consider the diverse, innovative, and powerful ways that peer work is being carried out in a broad range of communities.
Joining us is an impressive line-up of both International and National Keynote Speakers in the area of peer practice. We'll also have a range of interactive workshops that will develop your skills and some robust discussions that will broaden your knowledge and challenge your thinking - not to mention all the networking time with your peers!
The conference will provide an opportunity to explore the following themes:
Hoping together - by looking at how we can stay resilient, connected, and true to our values.
Working clever - by sharing knowledge, research, and practical know-how.
Leading change - by exploring how we can change ideas, improve services and supports, and open minds.
When: Wednesday 16th & Thursday 17th November 2016
Time: 8.30am registration for 9.00am start, finishing at 4.30pm each day

Early bird (available until 30th September) - $330 (incl.GST)
General (available after 30th September) - $380 (incl.GST)
We know that conference costs can be a real challenge for peer workers and we have done our best to keep the price of dialog as low as we can. Our ticket prices have gone up from last year for a couple of reasons:
Our venue is costing more than last year’s venue: We took on board the feedback from last year’s attendees and have moved to a venue that has abundant and free parking! And, we have chosen a venue that has more capacity so more people can attend.
We didn’t factor GST in to ticket prices last year and this year we have.
The cost of things has gone up as tends to happen over time.
It is not our intention to make money running dialog and, on the off chance, that we make a surplus on the conference we will use any proceeds to fund scholarships for future peer worker events.
We currently have an application in requesting scholarship funding to support people who may not otherwise be able to attend and we will update our website and send out updates on the mailing list as soon as we are notified about the outcome. Catering: Meals will be provided during the two day event. including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Please specify if you have any dietary requirements for the two days.

What is the refund policy?
We do not offer refunds, but we are happy to transfer the ticket name to an alternative person.
