Description

For GPs, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals

This session will provide information on the assessment & management of patients presenting with ocular & periocular infections and Red Eye within the general practice setting. The presenters will also provide brief information on health pathways for adult and paediatric patients.

Learning objectives

  • Perform assessments of patients presenting with red eye symptom and diagnose sight threatening conditions;

  • Implement a systematic approach when differentiating infectious conditions from non-infectious conditions in patients presenting with red eye symptoms;

  • Discuss various referral and health pathways for adult and paediatric patients presenting with red eye symptoms.
