Diabetes management for health professionals is a one day workshop for nurses and allied health professionals. It offers an interactive learning environment that supports participants to develop their skills in effective diabetes management.
Diabetes management for health professionals is endorsed by the Royal College of Nursing and offers 7 Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) points.
The course includes:
- An overview of the pathophysiology of diabetes and current diabetes classifications
Current diabetes prevention and detection strategies
Supporting self-management for the person with diabetes
Healthy eating & physical activity recommendations
Self Monitoring of Blood Glucose (SMBG)
Glucose lowering medication
Sick days plans
Complications screening and prevention
National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS)

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Your registration is refundable up until 48 hours prior to the event, after this unfortunately only 50% is refundable due to the cost of catering and administration.
