Event description

Description

For the first two days in November, death isn’t something to be feared. Instead, death is seen as a natural cycle of life. And Dia de los Muertos helps the living celebrate the loved ones who have passed on. On the 31/10 the doors of the land of the dead are open, and those loved ones can have a day to reunite, the living and the dead. First the children come on November 1, and on November 2, the adults can come for a visit.

Since the time of the Aztecs the indigenous peoples of mexico andcentral america have been creating beautiful sugar art, clay skulls and poems to adorn their altars, to offer the gods, and in rememberance of their loved ones.
Lets celebrate and connect with our ancestors in the traditional mexican way. With Calaveras! (skulls), we will paint a calavera cement skull that you can keep all year, learn about the day of the dead, Santa muerte, and have some authentic Mexican lunch.

$55.00 all materials and lunch included.
