The incidence of chronic pain and discomfort is alarming in the dental hygiene profession, forcing some to reduce work hours and contemplate a career change.Most treatments and remedies are symptom oriented instead of dealing withthe cause, providing only short-term pain relief.You can reduce the risk of occupational chronic pain, improve your life quality and ensure career longevity when you develop postural awareness and apply biomechanical design principles to dentistry and daily life.

Anikó founded Optimum Dental Posture to save her colleagues from suffering occupational chronic pain as she did for decades until she learned to recognize and change harmful work postures by applying the Inner Ergonomic principles of the Alexander Technique.

Trained in mind-body calming techniques and Inner Ergonomics, Anikó teaches dentists, hygienists, OHT’s and their teams around Australia and NZ how toreduce occupational chronic pain and stress. Her vision is the integration of ‘Inner Ergonomics and Wellness’ training in the undergraduate curriculum of dental schools
