Event description

Description

The George Institute for Global Health and Australian Human Rights Institute UNSW invite you to attend a public lecture, 'Developments in U.S. Health Policy Under Donald Trump'.

President Trump and the Republicans weren’t able to “repeal and replace” ObamaCare but that doesn’t mean that they are making major changes in that program and in health policy more generally. Professors Bill and Carol Weissert will provide an overview of the development in health policy over the first 18 months of the Trump Administration.

Particular attention will be paid to health care costs—which drive health policy but so far have eluded both politics and policy in the U.S. Will Trump finally do something about them?

Please arrive at 4.15pm. The event will commence at 4.30pm.

There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion after the presentation.
