COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is designed to help a wide range of professionals (finance, internal audit, compliance, legal, anti-fraud and human resources specialists) recognise situations of conflict of interest in the workplace related to existing employees:

- Interest in a vendor, customer, agent or business transaction,

- Competing businesses,

- Side businesses.

Conflicts of interest present significant fraud risks for organisations, government agencies, their customers and suppliers. It is also one of the most difficult areas of fraud to investigate. Improperly performed investigations create counterclaims and civil actions against organisations and investigators.

Gain an understanding of how and why conflicts arise and how to note the symptoms of a conflict of interest.

- Identify the early symptoms of conflict of interest, using the latest techniques in security, internal audit, information technology and forensics

- Investigate, obtain appropriate evidence and resolve the conflict

We specifically discuss how to start your search for conflict of interest in your organisation the very next day after this training course!
