This workshop is designed to build confidence in teaching live online classes in Zoom.
Different approaches and tools to actively engage students when in Zoom will be introduced, with strategies for all sized classes. Strategies to prepare, plan, facilitate, troubleshoot and follow-up after live online sessions will also be discussed.
Learning outcomes
- Participate in Zoom activities as a learner
- Describe the tools available in Zoom, and identify which tool is appropriate to your learning and teaching goals.
- Justify your tools choice based on your learning context
- Predict potential issues and provide solutions to address these.
- Create your own Zoom lesson plans and activities
- Facilitate a Zoom activity

Vebica has over 16 years experience working in education across multiple roles from teaching to educational support, across several tertiary institutions. Vebica has special interest in humanising the online teaching experience and loves all things under the umbrella of learning design.
Nathan Grieve | Learning Environments
Nathan is a Learning Designer at Learning Environments. He has supported staff across multiple Faculties with their migration to the Canvas LMS, and with FlexAp subjects. He is interested in learning new technologies and discovering new approaches to online learning.
